Positioned adjacent to B1 in the top right corner of property with excellent views to the left down the coconut grove to the distant sea. Unlike B1 the ridgeline partially obscures seaviews down Selong Valley, to secure these views also you'd need to build a 2 storey villa near the top. Lightly vegetated, gentle to moderate sloping perfect for 1 large villa. SOLD - Mark Sullivan from Hong Kong and Stuart Haslem from Singapore
The property is located along a ridgeline on top of a hill facing due south and overlooking tobacco / rice fields below and the pristine Selong beach 1.7km in distance. Trade winds blow from the front left, sunsets are across valley to the right. Approx elevation 100m above sea level.
There are 6 plots split into 2 sections, A & B, varying in size shape and slope. The owners of the plots are equally varied in their backgrounds but are all tied together in their vision, one which we share at the Resort next door.
Each plot is owned independently and each owner free to design and build what they want. Prior to sale, a purchasing agreement was put in place between the plot owners and Avantara Residences to ensure a general theme and to gaurentee teamwork amongst the owners themselves.
“The nice thing about teamwork is that you always have others by your side” – Margaret Carty.
The Residences are located at the rear and side of the property but still maintain wonderful views of the valley, beach and sea below. There’s a gully we call the Coconut Grove, where plots B1-B3 reside, and a sloping edge where plots A1-A3 look directly into the sunset. When we first visited the land we were amazed by how different it felt from the beach (only 1.7km infront) and peaceful the vibe was - so have nicnamed the area “Melancholy Hill” (after the Gorrilaz song). The property is accessed via the dirt/gravel road we excavated, purchased from the village and have made public. Once on property all plots share a secure covered communal carpark hidden at the top of the coconut grove. Each plot is accessed via gravel/dirt pathway from here and everything is fenced in – helping ensure a peaceful, tranquil, secure environment – no motorbikes, no chickens, no mosques, no screaming kids or yapping dogs.
The timeless sweeping views of the bay, the gentle seabreeze, the peace and quiet, its almost as if someone planted a mini Ubud by the sea - one of our favourite places still in Bali.
In terms of neighbors, you don't have any except for us at the resort - meaning blissful silence and complete privacy. No screaming kids, no early morning call to prayer and no peering villagers. The closest village is a small cluster of houses 1km away and the closest mosque is 1.5km away.
Positioned closest to the resort, flanking the 'Front facing slope' and facing 'Selong Valley'. Exceptional uninterrupted valley and pretty good sea views. Moderately sloping, lightly vegetated and facing due west means beautiful sunsets over valley and out of the predominant SE trade winds. Perfect for 1 large villa or 2 smaller split level villas. Close proximity to the resort means the restaurant and pool are only a stones throw away. SOLD - Jeff Pickman of Byron Bay
Positioned adjacent to A1, slightly larger and elevated higher, affording similarly excellent Selong Valley views, marginally better seaviews and easier access. Again moderately sloping, lightly vegetated and facing due west into the valley. Closer to access road and carpark, but further away from resort. Likewise its perfect for 1 large villa or 2 smaller split level villas. SOLD - Simons Barnes from Hong Kong
Positioned directly adjacent to the access road, considerably larger and comprised of a moderately sloping section (1/3) and steep section (2/3). Same views and aspect as A2. Building on the steeper sections would be more challenging, but the overall size more than compensates - a good plot for someone who requires size. With careful consideration to villa layout and design, A3 affords awesome views of Selong Valley down to the sea with complete privacy. Perfect for 1 v large villa or 2 smaller split level villas nestled into the hillside. SOLD - Simon Barnes from Hong Kong
Positioned at the top of the coconut grove. Affords beautiful views to (i) the right across the ridgeline to Selong Valley/sea and to the (ii) left down coconut grove to the sea. Building a 2 storey villa near the top would create beautiful panoramic views over it all. Beautiful sunrises to the left over the sea and sunsets over Selong valley to right. Gentle sloping and located very close to access road and carpark makes this perhaps the easiest plot to build on. SOLD - Sue Kim from Hong Kong

Positioned in the tranquil and private bottom corner of the coconut grove. The bamboo thicket partially obscures seaviews but creates a peaceful and private enclave. Triangular in shape, moderately sloping and lightly vegetated. The resort's yoga pavillion is to be hidden on the opposite side of the gully giving some indication as to the atmosphere down here. Suitable for 1 large villa. SOLD - Phill Hayes from Hong Kong
