This is a passion project for myself and probably for everyone else involved. It’s our first attempt at creating something from nothing, from scratch, from just an idea. Profit not being the only motivation. Along the way we keep attracting quality people from all walks of life, which add enormous value and is testamount to the strength of the concept itself.

My friend sent me this from India last week, written by someone who is one of my favorite authors and human beings (not necessarily in that order) – H.H. XIV Dalai Lama. He’s better at saying it than me, so its fair he gets the last word.

“We have bigger houses but smaller families,

More conviniences but less time.

We have more degrees but less common sense,

More knowledge but less judgement,

More experts but more problems,

More medicines but less healthiness.

We’ve been all the way to the moon and back,

But we have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor.

We built more computers to hold more information,

But have less communication.

We have become long on quantity but short on quality.

These are times of fast foods and slow digestion.

Tall man but short in character,

Steep profits but shallow relationships.

It’s a time when there is much in the window,

But little in the room.”

Worthy Causes

In addition to the local community projects we hope to do locally, here are some of the foundations and charities we're trying to tie into.
